Venue: Chichester Cathedral | City: Chichester, United Kingdom
Bishop Martin, the Bishop of Chichester, has designated this year as a ‘Year of Prayer’ for the whole Diocese to deepen and widen our Christian experience. Part of that is to make a Pilgrimage to our Cathedral.
We are invited on Saturday 14th July to journey down to the city of Chichester for a service in the Cathedral at 12 noon led by the Bishop of Horsham, The Rt. Revd. Mark Sowerby and the Archdeacon of Horsham, The Venerable Fiona Windsor.
The gathering point is in The Bishop’s Gardens. Many people may wish to walk some of the way, the plan is to meet at Hunston and to set off at 10.30am along the Canal path to rendezvous with other Pilgrims in the garden before entering the Cathedral.
The service will be followed by a picnic lunch (bring your own) in the Bishop’s Palace garden. We hope as many people as possible will be able to go. Please sign up at the back of Church to help co-ordinate this.
I would like to encourage you, whether you are a regular faithful Christian worshipper or someone who might like to experience what a Pilgrimage is, to join us on 14th July. For more information contact us on 700339.
