Venue: St Peter ad Vincula, Wisborough Green
Each year, we recall the events of August 19th 1942, when many Canadian soldiers based in and around Wisborough Green, supported by US and British troops, took part in the ‘Dieppe Raid’. This assault on the port of Dieppe in occupied France cost the lives of many allied troops with the Canadian Units suffering many fatalities. Others were wounded or captured. This year, which may well be the last such service, we shall commemorate on Sunday 5th August at our 10.30am service.
After the service a light lunch will be provided for those attending.
